@joanmorris30575 months ago My favorite method of roasting almonds includes a salt water soak s I’ve been looking for one like that for cashews. It helps the nuts absorb the salt. I finally found yours so I’m a happy camper. 2

@savedfaveslast year While they are still a bit wet on the oven tray I like to sprinkle them with sea salt and I find the salt then sticks to them and it's just a case of roasting them and evaporating all of their moisture, and much of salt should remain attached/impregnated and give them a nice salty kick ... 4

@Sumbibebe12 years ago I've always loved roasting cashews as a kid in Mozambique. These were straight from the tree using a process I know I can't apply here in California. Natsugashi, I've also bought what now is called organic cashews or raw cashew nuts (they are never sold in their raw/out of shell state) and have roasted them without the boiling process and they would turn brown but in an uneven tone and without the salt flavor, however, they are still great to eat but they'll look nothing like the ones bought i ... 7

@pjsbays7 years ago I used Kerala Cashews. After roasting 90 minutes at 250°F, they still aren't crunchy. I'm going to revert to frying in my wok, which served me in good stead the past 30+ years. 4

@smalltimer66610 months ago Do you know what she didn't do. She didn't taste them and make a silly sound as if she's going to die of all the happiness the cashews bring her. This is definitely an old video. Much simpler, truthful times.

@veronicasmith46803 years ago Why the need for nuts to float during boiling? Raw cashews have urushiol, a kind of poison found in poison oak, ivey. Does boiling remove it? I have roasted raw cashews in the oven without boiling, just washing and it still gave me an allergic reaction. ... 1

@seanonel3 years ago I just put mine in a dry frying pan, season with salt and/or MSG and toss until they achieve an even colouration.
The natural oils in the nuts do all the heavy lifting...
