So here he is, hurtling through some bizarre narrative. Should be business as usual, right? This is part three of this dedmos series. Part of me thinks that this is a part of Deminos past. For me, this episode for FLA has more mystery than the last two. ... 540

@kirxee6 years ago Serious comment here. I like the idea of deimos going through that undead nightmare, which is getting basically worse and worse. Introducing Sanford in that part was really stunning and showing how strong their relation was. Keep it up Matt, these shorts are great introduction before the actuall 11 part. ... 546

Deimos remembers Sanford from his previous life, which is why he rushes in to save him after seeing him die once.

@NinaNooneknows3 years ago This is one of my favorite clips in the entire series. Not only is the side plot with Deimos very intriguing as a whole, but this exact part is such a creative (and cruel) experience to put him through, and this short shows what might be the most nuanced emotion any of the characters have expressed in the series. The music fits the mood extremely well, but it's especially amazing how much the little gestures can communicate on a sprite with no face at all, like Deimos reaching out with his hand and then pulling it back in concerned hesitation, and the rage he attacks the enemy with after having seen them kill "Sanford" in an earlier reality, and his scared little jump... but I think the part that is the most telling of their bond is the way he points at "Sanford" and then puts his hands up even though he looks all corrupted and aggressive and frankly shouldn't even exist - you can imagine Deimos expressing his concern and then telling him to calm down, that it's just him. Even after that, he just keeps backing up slowly without any intention of attacking him, and the moment "Sanford" stands still, Deimos starts to hesitantly approach him again. I like Deimos as a character to begin with, but even if not for his own sake, I hope these two will be able to continue their adventure together because their bond just adds so much to such a violent story. ... 153

@kertchu4 years ago I wonder if this set is a recreation of how Sanford and Deimos first met, Deimos saved Sanford from an ambush and they stuck together ever since. />Now the faceless Sanford could probably be showing Sanford’s fate where he is in a lot of pain. This place could be telling Deimos “look at what you made him into, things would have been better for him if you never met.”
Hopefully if this is true then Deimos can save Sanford in the end. ... 32

He forgot how Sanford looks in front while looking at him. When he changes the scene of Sanford dying, it all collapses into darkness. He's trying to come back to save sanford from this hell ... 8

@NoelistAvenger6 years ago I love how Deimos is visibly distraught after "Sanford" gets killed; he doesn't care about getting stabbed by yet another blade on a chain, he just rushes the door to get to his buddy, hoping to save him. And when he does reach Sanford, he wastes no time killing the shotgun-toting Agent before he can hurt Ford.
Those two really care about eachother. ... 5

Sanford feels most vulnerable during that specific episode and of course, Deimos can see that Sanford is vulnerable without his best friend. 2

In ROMP.FLA, its not canon, but it shows Deimos make up for not being prepared to shoot the enemies by just following Sanford's lead
So when Deimos is alone, the series seems to exploit his weakness when Deimos doesnt have anyone to trust that he can go off of to make up for his slow reaction. ... 2
