City of Cape Town to relocate residents affected by sinkholes

The City of Cape Town says it will start relocating the affected residents of SST informal settlement on Saturday. Homes in the Khayelitsha area are literally hanging in a balance after sinkholes developed following a sewer pipe collapse. Residents say there are signs that more sinkholes may develop and are calling on the Metro to fasttrack relocations. Newzroom Afika reporter Nasiphi Same filed this report.
