Dr. Sarah Lovell presents a general introduction to the concept of agroforestry. She covers the historical roots of agroforestry, as well as contemporary themes for temperate regions. The practices of alley cropping, silvopasture, forest farming, windbreaks, riparian forest buffers, and urban food forests are discussed. The University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry and the University of Missouri Horticulture and Agroforestry Research Center have joined to host the Mizzou Agroforestry YouTube channel. Our intent is to provide quality video content on temperate agroforestry practices in the Midwest, events taking place at HARC, and research updates from UMCA. #HARC #MizzouMade #MapleSyrup #SugarShack #Syrup #TappingTrees #MizzouAgroforestry #MOChestnutRoast @MUAgroforestry Please donate to help support the effort and outreach at HARC: https://mizzougivedirect.missouri.edu/item.aspx?item_ID=543 Please donate to help support specialty crop research through the Center for Agroforestry: https://mizzougivedirect.missouri.edu/fund.aspx?item_id=685 ****Contact Center for Agroforestry**** Mailing Address: University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry 302 Anheuser Busch Natural Resource Building Columbia, MO 65211 Office: 573-884-2874 https://www.centerforagroforestry.org https://www.facebook.com/mizzouagroforestry https://www.instagram.com/mizzouagroforestry/ https://twitter.com/muagroforestry Podcast: https://agroforestry.libsyn.com/ YouTube: Mizzou Agroforestry ****Contact HARC**** Mailing Address: University of Missouri Horticulture and Agroforestry 10 Research Center Road New Franklin, MO 65274 Office: 660-848-2268 https://harc.missouri.edu/ https://www.facebook.com/mizzouharc/ /watch/gKd3cEl_evx_3
