If this was too confusing, seriously just type in "Resume Outline" on google and just fill in your own information. And you'll be good to go! @nigelanicette9243منذ 5 سنوات I really like the delivery and comedy within the video. I get the gist of it, put your name in bold, put some stuff about yourself on the resume like your id="hidden1" class="buttons"> education, your work experience, the main reason why you want this job etc, etc, basically just write about yourself professionally and you'll get the job. Thank you Rachel Ballinger, your bright, bubbly personality and knowledge of resumes really made the video great. Keep up the good work! ....وسعت

@cherishgehret7283منذ 8 سنوات Hey girl! I'm a Career Counselor and I love watching your vids, along with the rest of your fam's! This video is great! In the most respectful id="hidden2" class="buttons"> way possible, can I give you some more updated info since you're educating hundreds of thousands of people? :-))
First, objectives are somewhat outdated. This is because, like you said, you want your resume to ideally be only 1 page (it takes employers 6-10 secs to decide whether they're going to continue reading). You want to utilize that 1 page the best ya can and the objective of turning in a resume is kind of obvious so it's somewhat of a waste of space. Instead, the more current section to include in that place would be a profile summary. This could be something like "Highly energetic recent university student with an outstanding background in sales and customer service. Strong written and verbal communicator who works well both independently and in a team setting."
Second, you want to list your Education section first before your Work Ex

@Justaguyyoutubinمنذ 7 سنوات Awesome tutorial. I've been trying to help my brother build a resume (hes much younger than me) and it seems overwhelming at first but its gets MUCH id="hidden13" class="buttons"> easier with time. To start you're struggling to fill a page with valuable information and after a few years you will find yourself leaving tons of stuff off of your resume just so it all fits. My tip is to NEVER discard your resume. You will start fresh and build numerous variations of your resume but never delete a copy. Always keep what youve made as you can go back to it and pull from it in the future. I typically make a unique resume and cover letter for each and every job I apply to which is a very quick and painless task now that I have SO many resume variations to draw from (over 20). The reason behind having different variations is to emphasize a certain set of skills or qualifications for a specific career so that you seem like a better organizational fit. In a job that involves office duties I may use a very organized chronological resume template with an emphasis on education. With a labor job I may focus more on work experience and specific projects or skills that ive acquired. With a government or public service job I often focus on customer service, volunteering and my connection with the community. The content of all of these resumes will be the same but i'll organize it differently and allocate the bulk of total page words to one or two specific areas. To start just build a general resume so that you can pound the pavement and put a lot of copies out, but make sure to keep all the early renditions of what you do for the future. ....وسعت

@barovelliمنذ 8 سنوات All good advice. I've read hundreds of applications and often saw the mistakes mentioned here. One thing to add is that a lot of job applications happen id="hidden17" class="buttons"> online. Copy-Paste a nicely published resume with nice fonts and artistic bullet points into a web form and it becomes unreadable. Keep that one to hand out but also make a text only version for online applications. ....وسعت
