#microcrawler #axialscx24 #MicroRCCourse We took our RC life to the next level and build a cheap and easy micro crawler course for our Axial SCX24 RC Jeeps. This obstacle course was a ton of fun and we managed to make it for less than $30. (Most of the cost going to spray paint and hot glue sticks.) We made this Micro crawler course from styrofoam, card board and expanding foam. Then added some course sand and spray painted. For a final touch I added in some greenery I got from the dollar store. @Teknakill3 years ago Good video, thanks for the pool noodle idea. Now I will share one of mine. Use a 50 percent water and 50 percent white glue mix in a spray bottle. Spray it on and smear it around with a paint brush then sprinkle sand on certain spots where you wish to have alittle more grip to overcome the obsticle easier. Add more sand as needed. Thanks for all your effort in this video, I sub'ed and thumbs up! 👍👍👍 ... 13

@dudeonther19783 years ago Nice! It’s looks good. Sometimes I put a shoe under my platforms to add some angles of elevation. 4

@hfdsocalss3 years ago This is so rad! I think I'm going to build one and put it in the bed of my truck to use while at the races or tailgating. Now I'm going to need 3 more crawlers 5

@CanadianRC962 years ago I'm thinking multiple little movable courses that can be rearranged to have a few different layouts and obstacle attack angles 🤔 I like the fact that it can be tucked away, good video! 7

@signman93282 years ago Cool! I'm an 'old-school' R/C guy and had a blast back in the old days with an MRC/Tamiya 'Sand Scorcher' buggy, but am thinking one of these tiny crawlers might be a blast. I also love model RR'ing, so making a indoor course sounds fun. Thanks---good tips! ... 2

@charlesreynolds393 years ago Really interesting build, I love the cardboard tubes. I think I'd make the triangle climb and the cardboard roll loggs removable obstacles, so they could be repositioned or upgraded, but it looks a lot of fun. 4

@DrumerMetodista3 years ago Hey Matt, Its so good to see you again. Hope you, your family and every one from the ERT NC are well and ok. My regards to each and everyone.
We were definitely thinking the same thing. as soon as you started the disclaimer in where you adviced to weare gloves. It just reminds me of the time when the styrofoam pipe breaks in your backpack or I don't remember exactly where it was, but soon spread all over the place, the floor, your hands etc. and it was liked glued to your hands. Where so bad, I dont know with what exacly you took it out. Ps. Loved the RC's outdoor course obstacles track with the minis (Jeeps). May God Blesses You'll ...

@nsanenscale9390last year Very nice design. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment so something like this would be perfect for me. Do you mind sharing the size of it please? I'm guessing 2-2.5'x6? I may be wrong. Keep up the good work! 1

@gfyracing76322 years ago You got lucky that the spray paint did not eat away at much of that foam. Course does look good. 1

@ccs23113 years ago Great idea for using toilet rolls and foam packaging for the terrain. The spray foam is ok for some situations, but it’s air toxic, very sticky and not too cheap. I’ve seen Hot gluing recycle bin boxes and various shapes of formed or pack foam working together as a hill base will hold up well as long as you sheet plaster over everything afterwards ... 1

@reallybigphilly3 years ago I'm gonna do a similar project over the christmas break, but using old cardboard and plaster cloth. Already made a few wooden obstacles and a suspension bridge :) Also going with a 'desert' theme since I wont need a lot of accessories, just a bag of sand and some glue. ... 1

@garettbodel30023 years ago You can save a ton of money you just get a gallon of paste or glue 10 is out and make paper mache and you'll be much lighter and won't cost Pennies on the dollar. When you get finished you give it a light coating of mortar mix very light and rub it by hand and you can make an awesome crawler course for peanuts remember paper mache with newspaper or whatever paper you got ... 1

@logancowdy12552 years ago great tabletop course you have there, i just today started one of my own and had the same idea to use styrofoam and spray foam as a base, interesting obstacles you've created might incorporate some of your designs into my finished product. keep up the good work ... 1

@dwightduke23293 years ago It might help on the climbing wall/ramp to add some sand like you did on the other areas, building one of these as I type this out, thanks for some ideas. 1

@callsignmohas51903 months ago I don’t know if you’ve got yourself a old phone holder for your car but if you do take that soldering gun and weld it to your radio. I did that with my old Traxxas transmitters and then finally I got a radio link rc6gs that came with a phone holder for getting videos ...

@Christian-ij4dj3 years ago looks like the biggest issue is grip, would love to see what some white "wood" glue and some sand would do! 1

@katrinalindahl12933 years ago I want to build one with my son but I don't have the confidence to do something like that maybe put it in the shed along the sides all the way around it maybe that's what I was thinking about doing for him 1

@joshuaabbott6376last year Have you thought about throwing down some sand and then spray paint over in the areas where you're not getting it up grip to go

@jayevans13413 years ago Good job very creative. Ever get hot glue on the fingers? That doesn’t feel good. 1

@midengine85762 years ago I wouldve just coverd the whole thing in a very thin sheet and then paint it and clear coat it.

@le-berry2 years ago Always the same to steep to narrow only working with non crawler speed waste of time, glue and paint.
