Edit: I believe one of the reasons people hate on it is the amount of people taking the game seriously unlike 2017-2018 when they would play for fun and for memes. Battle Royales are the id="hidden12" class="buttons"> least competitive genre of multiplayer game that people take seriously. There are so many things out of the player's control that can influence a placement in a match. By adding skill based matchmaking into a game that has such large RNG elements, you are making RNG more punishing and it is more likely to punish you the more skilled you are at the game. This leads to an unfun experience. When you go against better players, a player that gets a lucky rotation or angle is 10x more likely to exploit this successfully. That means, the person who is getting punished, no matter how skilled they are, is going to get punished harder than they did before.
Nobody wants to play a game where their skill and hard work means almost nothing whereas before skill based matchmaking it did. Skill based matchmaking completely removes the sense of progression and purpose to grind because every time you get better or improve, so do your lobbies, so your experience never changes. It's boring. It'as simple as that.
Where Fortnite was fun was where a player could overcome the odds by being skilled. That no longer happens unless you're in the 0.5% that are otherworldly talented. Skill based matchmaking will be the death of this game for anybody that plays this game more than once a week ....وسعت 91

@matthewcasanova8343منذ 4 سنوات I feel that SBMM isn’t the bad thing in this situation, it’s actually regular solos, duos and squads that’s the real problem. If epic takes out SBMM in these modes then casual modes can actually feel casual again. I think epic should do this, then add a unranked mode to the game. It in a few games like Rainbow Six Siege where you don’t loss any points (in this case hype) but there’s SBMM so sweat players can practice to get better for actual ranked. Another positive this can give is that finally content creators can get content again with solo squads, or random duos. I do agree with everything else tho, bad communication, bad lag, and no one even caring about events. Again don’t think SBMM is a bad thing, it’s just the way it’s in the game that’s the problem. ....وسعت 43

1. Make skill based matchmaking something to toggle
2. Start doing patch notes
3. id="hidden29" class="buttons"> Have better communication
4. Fix some really annoying bugs like the pistol reload glitch and the under the map glitches, just to name a few
5. Improve there server connection because most people have really had some lag problems when before certain update it was fine

Remember back in like season 8 there was so many different things to use like rifts and junk rifts along with all different type of shotguns and utility items impulse grenades and ports forts. I remember having hard debates wether an exploding plunger would be more useful over a sniper but at its current state all it is get weapon kill boss obtain mythic weapon ??? Win or use the same 3 guns over and over AR shotgun sniper with 2 heals shield and medkit. It was so much more fun back in season 8 when there was to many weapons to choose from. There was a new item added every 2 weeks or so and events people are actually excited for such as the cube event or the monster fight.but now all it has come to is land and loot the same 3 weapons ....وسعت

The unique thing about a BR is that improving is about doing better in games, not facing better players. It’s about starting to survive towards the end, getting your first win, and then playing more and getting even better results. That’s what made this game fun for me to play casually. I don’t find just playing pub solos fun anymore cuz I cannot experience that. And if sbmm existed when I first started I probably woulda gotten bored quickly. ....وسعت 2

The pattern I noticed is that id="hidden41" class="buttons">they phrase it as being unable to make content due to it cuz the lobby "is too sweaty". You're a pro, you can handle it. Every one in that lobby knows the same things you do, and perform at your level but not above it. Step up to the challenge.
Fortnite Pros should earn their titles as pros at fortnite. If they can't keep up with the competition, they should gracefully pass on the title to players that are working their butts off to actually keep up with the game.
The same people whose YouTubes I go to for how to get better at fortnite and just pick up on what's OP, even though I am terrible, Are now the same ones saying that the game is "too hard/sweaty". So what? Learn to be basics and give up when the playing field gets leveled then try to pressure the game to unlevel the field again? No! You learn new ways or admit that you can't keep up and move to a different game. ....وسعت 1
