@TheCrabbyCrafterlol3 years agoI've watched and played along with this a dozen times or better and every time I say: I SO would have kept (and tape reinforced) the sneaky double page (@ ) in so the centerfold images would be upside right in the journal. A teeny bit more work, but my brain could relax and know everything was right with the world. No sideways images/words. lol 🤓👍🏼😎 ...1

@LB-vl3qn5 years agoGreat tip about finding expensive stationery at the thrift store. I'll bet if you fold that brown deli paper longways you could get two sheets out of it instead of just one with very little waste, if any. Also, the plastic cutting boards that come two to a pack at the Dollar Tree make craft mats. They're about 13x14" so small enough to slip in and out to cut quickly, and great for working with glue or paint on a small surface.. When they wear out, toss and buy new. At fifty cents apiece, they make an affordable disposable mat. Love this series, Pam. ~ Lisa ...2

@juneribbons51964 years agoThanks for this tutorial. You are an excellent teacher. I have that big bite, but have not been able to get it unlocked. @cherylwells12662 months agoAs an 80 year old person that still crafts, thought you might want to know that you are using a dull pointed ice pick (back in the day, that ice pick was a savior for big blocks of Ice) - not an awl!! The awl is generally much sharper pointed and easier to pierce the paper. I have enjoyed watching your videos illustrating the fact you don't absolutely have to use expensive equipment in order to achieve great results - thank you!! ...

@brigittespapercraft4 years agoHi Pam, I love watching your tutorials. I learn a lot, and at the same time your comments are quite amusing and refreshing. It really inspires me to start a (junk) journal myself, and now I am starting to look very weary at my old big encyclopedia. It is really doing nothing, and I haven't looked inside it for ages. I hope I will find the courage to take them from the bookshelf and use them for the covers and the beautiful papers inside. Isn't that weird, I feel bad and at the same time excited about that. Anyway, thank you so much for all that can be done with stuff that we already have. Hugs, Brigitte ...

@nellcourt89284 years agoI have an algebra book cover that I was able to take apart with the spine attached to it except for a small oops cut of the knife. I want to keep the outer spine looking like the original. I used fabric to repair the oops but wondered if you had a video to attach the signature without poking holes in the original. Hope that’s clear as mud. Thanks ...
@
@1jmass5 years agoVery informative. I would think waiting to trim until you have placed the pages in the signature would give a more accurate cut. If some papers you use are thicker, they could cause any inside to push out a bit. I hope this makes sense. ...

@juneribbons51964 years agoFirst of all I love your breakthroughs journals are all awesome I do have one question after watching you cut the papers that are so much bigger than the others, wouldn'it be much easier to just use one of the papers that fit perfectly as your cutting guide. I'd have them all over the place and never straight if I kept them all in the stack while cutting only one or two peices ...
